Groupe culte de pop indé, The Married Monk s’offre cet été une petite virée aux Portes Briardes : direction La Ferme Électrique #12 ! Tantôt indie rock ou disco, tantôt new wave ou electro pop, le groupe brouille les pistes. Depuis son retour inattendu en 2018, The Married Monk a repris la route et performe désormais en quartet. Au volant de ce nouvel élan artistique, Christian Quermalet, son leader historique chanteur et mélodiste, Jean-Michel Pirès à la batterie (grand habitué de La Ferme Electrique déjà venu avec Bruit Noir, Mendelson et Club Cactus et qui jouera aussi avec L&S cette année), Tom Rocton, multi-instrumentiste, arrangeur (également tromboniste au sein de l’orchestre national de Lorraine), et Benoît Burello (trop (mé)connu pour le projet Bed) aux claviers.

The cult indie pop band The Married Monk is taking a little trip to the Brie Region this summer: they’re on their way to La Ferme Électrique #12! Sometimes indie rock or disco, sometimes new wave or electro pop, the band blurs the lines. Since their unexpected return in 2018, The Married Monk got back on the road and now performs as a quartet. At the helm of this new artistic impulse, Christian Quermalet, the historical leader, singer and melodist, Jean-Michel Pirès on drums (a remarkable regular of La Ferme Electrique who has already come with Bruit Noir, Mendelson, Club Cactus and will also play with L&S this year), Tom Rocton, multi-instrumentalist, arranger (also trombonist in the national orchestra of Lorraine), and Benoît Burello (who is too (un)known to be part of the Bed project), on keyboards.
